Me and mummy often would go back to China to visit our family, we stayed at my (then) uncle and grandmother's shared flat in Shenzhen. Camellia's mum was always protective and didn't want us to go out else we might get hurt, but me and mummy always would sneak out to go ice skating, out to eat, shopping and have a fun time without my grandmother knowing. 

This day we planned to go to a swimming pool with mummy's friends, we had packed all our bags and her friends were waiting in a car to pick us up just besides our flat block. We waited until her mum was asleep and snuck out quietly down the elevator and outside, as we were walking out we noticed not to far behind us that my grandmother had also come down the elevator some time later, "oh no!" we thought and we quickly hid behind one of the walls of the flat block. It seemed she was calling out for us and searching, it really felt like we were spies on an undercover mission!

After some more searching my grandmother gave up and head back into the elevator, though we managed to escape into the car and head off to the swimming pool that didn't stop us getting scolded when we got back!

We both thought it was worth it though, and we look back at that time and laugh at how silly the whole thing was!
